HI, I'M TOBI
I’m a designer at Duolingo, where my work moves between product and brand. I design digital learning experiences, along with merchandise and experiential projects that bring the Duolingo brand into the physical world. Across both, I enjoy taking a messy brief, finding the idea hiding inside it, and bringing people together around a clear direction.
My love for branding began with Artobi, the jewelry brand I started as a teenager. Building it meant learning whatever the brand needed next. When I couldn’t produce the quality of imagery I envisioned, I learned photography and shot the campaigns myself. When website templates couldn’t capture the world I wanted to create, I learned digital design and built my own. That same drive led me into typography, packaging, art direction, and eventually a gallery pop-up that I designed and built from the ground up.
Brand design is where everything I love about design gets to sit at the same table: ideas, images, words, objects, and experiences. I bring a product designer’s strategic thinking, a collaborative approach, and a very healthy obsession with the details that make an idea feel complete.
